Billy Mays found dead in his home

In a month in which we’ve seen the deaths of such celebrities like David Carradine, Ed McMahon, Farrah Fawcett, and the king of pop Michael Jackson, a celebrity of sorts, Billy Mays has died today. Mostly known for his Oxi Clean & Orange Glo product pitching commercials Mays was found dead in his home by his wife this morning, he was 50 years old. He was pronounced dead at 7:45 a.m., and investigators don’t believe there was any foul play. An autopsy will be completed by Monday afternoon but a heart attack is the expected cause of death.

Tampa area media outlets reported that Mays was a passenger on a U.S. Airways flight that made a rough landing on Saturday afternoon at Tampa International Airport, apparently blowing its front tires in an incident that left debris on  the runway. They quoted Mays as saying, “All of a sudden as we hit you know it was just the hardest hit, all the things from the ceiling started dropping,””It fell on my head but I have a hard head”, but U.S. Airways’ officials said today that they can’t confirm immediately that Mays was on the flight.

Our sympothy goes out to his family, RIP William “Billy” D. Mays Jr. July 20, 1958 – June 28, 2009, this blunt will be consumed in your memory.
