Finally, a pro-marijuana group other than Norml has embraced TV advertising by releasing a commercial urging California residents to consider taxing and regulating the sale of cannabis. The commericail which was sponsored & created by the Marijuana Policy Project and in the 30 second advert a crazy eyed nice middle aged lady reminds viewers that CA is deep in debt and the millions of marijuana consumers are willing to pay taxes on a substance that is less harmful than alcohol. The commercial is also already being met with opposition and some TV stations in California won’t run the advertisement. I’m definately blowing smoke all around for this commercial and its’ step in the right direction.
