According to MTV news Police have arrested a 23-year-old New Jersey man in connection with Saturday morning’s hit-and-run death of two-time “American Idol” contestant Alexis Cohen. The Asbury Park Journal reports that Daniel Bark was arrested at 6 p.m. on Sunday and charged with causing Cohen’s death by reckless driving and then leaving the scene of a collision. If convicted in Cohen’s death, Bark could serve 10 to 15 years in jail. He is currently being held in the Ocean County Jail in Toms River on $35,000 bail.

Its great that they found who did this but it doesnt bring back our quirky creepo Alexis. Hopefully she’s in a better place annoying blessing others with her voice.

Hermit-like funnyman Dave Chappelle gave an impromptu performace in Portland, Oregon’s pioneer square in the early hours of yesterday morning. While thousands of people showed up to see Dave’s secret performance he was not prepared for the turnout. Chappelle had only planned for a very small amount of people to show up and had only bought a sound system that would allow his voice to be heard for the first few rows of the thousands of people that packed the square. Chappelle though, who refused to disappoint did stay for two hours and entertained the huge crowd to the best of his ability given the sound system. Chappelle also apologized for his lack of audio, citing the fact that he didn’t think he was still famous….well let’s see….he did have probably the biggest show on comedy central behind south park and a $50 million contract  and then you just kind of disappeard, so fuck yes you’re still famous. In the video clip above, you can notice Dave mention that he smells “reffer” and then someone in the crowd offers him some and he politely declined, quoting an old Nancy Reagan after school special and simply saying no….I’d like to believe that had cameras not been plastered on him 24/7 he would’ve certainly accepted the herbal refreshment being offered, after all he is the creator of one of the greatest stoner movies ever, Half Baked….tokes for Chappelle and maybe a show in the tri-state area sometime soon???

Ok so over the last couple of years we have been lied to blessed with these anti-weed “Above the Influence” commercials where they usually state how if you smoke pot you will do stupid, reckless, and deadly things. When I watch a commercial I usually just smirk and change the channel but this latest commercial I saw made me fall on the floor with laughter. The commercial ablove titled “Shoulders” explains that if you smoke weed you’re close to the devil, stupid, a hillbilly, and will make your parents cry. They also say smoking weed will ruin your future, not get you into a good school, and you won’t have any friends. Oh I forgot Michael Phelps,Seth Rogen, Lil Wayne, Barack Obama, Barbra Streisand, & Willie Nelson never smoked weed…… wait they did and “inhaled” and turned out to be great leaders in their respective fields one being our nation’s leader. Herb enthusiasts have been used to this kind of propaganda for years but this one combines a little from every other commercial before it. What the creators of this commercial don’t know is that people now are smarter than the people of the past and we have access to the internet where we can seek and find the truth. Thanks for the humor Above the Influence members but we’re onto your agenda. Have a toke and learn something useful.

The new season of Scrubs will be taking a different path then the other seasons did. The upcoming season will take Dr. Cox & Dr. Turk from the hospital to the classroom and become med school professors. The hospital isn’t going anywhere though it’s just not the main setting anymore. “Scrubs” veterans including Zach Braff, Sarah Chalke, Judy Reyes, & Ken Jenkins have all agreed to make guest appearances but will not be show regulars anymore. Also the nameless janitor played by Neil Flynn will not be returning to the show. While I’m happy that botox lipped Zach Braff isn’t going to be a regular on the show,  I don’t believe the new season will last very long due to the premise. According to “Scrubs” creator Bill Lawrence they will be adding a “fairly famous” person to the show but no word on who it will be. Lawrence explained the change by saying,”If the show is just Scrubs again in the hospital with a different persons voice over it would be a disaster and people would be mad.”

While the premise and evolution of the show may be corny we support Donald Faison and wish the best for the series. There may be hope for the show if they can bring in a big name but if not Donald this blunt’s for you and your soon to be unemployed self.

Unfortunately this is true, Anna Faris and fiance b-list actor Chris Pratt (Parks & Recreation) were in Maui this weekend where they reportedly eloped. As you know Anna was married to tv producer Ben Indra for nearly 3 years when she filed for divorce on April 5th 2007 but the divorce wasn’t finalized until February 19th 2008. Chris Pratt whose never been married has to be thanking the lord that he caught Anna Faris. If you can’t comprehend how Pratt pulled this off you’re not alone but like a true magician he will never reveal his trick.

Pratt who until 08 where he landed a small roll in “Wanted” was bouncing from c-list to b-list roles, including a 9 episode role in the cancelled “O.C.”, has been picking it up as of late starring in “Bride Wars” and the fast growing hit show “Parks & Recreation” while Anna has been red hot in all sorts of comedies (House Bunny, Observe & Report) but both will be appearing in “Young Americans”. Anna also has 4 more projects in the works including the sequel to “Alvin & the Chipmunks” along side Christina Applegate & Amy Poehler (who stares with Pratt in “Parks & Recreation”) while Pratt only has 1 other movie project with “Jennifer’s Body” along side sexy herself Megan Fox & Adam Brody.

I don’t know how long this marriage will last with Anna bringing home the bacon but for the time being congrats Chris this blunt’s for you…….and Anna….. and “Parks & Recreation”

FX shit show Nip/Tuck has not surprisingly been cancelled. The show which was set in a plastic surgery practice followed the lives of the practices’ owners.

The show was one episode away from their 100th episode when the bad news was given, but they will still get their milestone episode. The only odd thing is that fans of the show will have to wait until 2011 to catch it’s final episode. As great sad as the news of the series end is, actor John Henley who plays “Matt” on the show is very optimistic about the networks decision, adding that he feels like the show has reached a creative impasse with regards to the story line.

Well i’ve never seen more than one episode and I was ready for the show to end, so it’s probably about time….thanks FX

Fox news is on the rampage once again…

Spreading biased opinions and conservative propaganda is not their only specialty. It seems as though Fox news has mastered the art of boldface lying. In an article currently featured on their site, they claim that researchers at the University of Leicester in England have “convincing evidence” (how the fuck do you measure convincing evidence or produce it for that matter) that marijuana smoke damages DNA in ways that could potentially increase the risk of cancer. That’s funny because marijuana has never been directly related to any instances of cancer in any medical studies or records , because had that been true, your televisions would be flooded with ads very similar to those against tobacco. (which indeed does lead to cancer)

It’s apparent that Harry Anslinger has come back from the dead and is now doing stories for Fox News because this is nothing more than an extension of reefer madness and it’s ingorant stereotypical views.

The scientists claim that a “new method” has allowed them to discover that cannabis smoke damages DNA. Well let’s see….”convincing evidence” is nothing more than a nice way of saying “maybe” and since they don’t go into detail or even give a “lamens term” explanation about what the “new method” is that they used to come to these conclusions, i’m gonna go ahead and draw an intelligent conclusion…BULLSHIT, BULLSHIT, BULLSHIT…check out “the hidden truth” or Norml for the truth on marijuana
